This year’s Businessman’s Dinner has been a huge success and created some wonderful memories for our year 11 students leaving us this summer. All the Year 11 students looked immaculately dressed in their evening attire.
Mrs Fox the leader of Year 11 said “The evening was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students across their five years at Batley Business & Enterprise College. Many students have been successful sportsmen, budding artists, entrepreneurs and proactive members of the School Council.”
Mrs Fox went on to say “The evening was packed with speeches, hilarious awards, delicious food topped off by a very large cake made by our very own Music teacher Mr Allen.”
Top class live entertainment was provided courtesy of the Punjabi Roots Academy (Bhangra dance group) had everybody up on their feet, Rocking Ryan gave a terrific performance on the keyboard, our very own Mr Wood showed hidden talents on the guitar and to end the show a Rapper from Bradford, Imran Hafeez who defiantly got the crowd tapping their feet. A perfect night and a perfect send off for the year 11 students.
The school would like to acknowledge and express its appreciation for the support and contribution made by Mrs D Goldthorpe for being an excellent host for the evening, the Senior Leadership Group for their on-going support, the Chair of Governors Mr G. Alvy and Governor Stephanie Wroe for attending the event.
Ms Vickers, Headteacher said “It was a wonderful evening, what a pleasure to see our young men graduate as ‘Tomorrow’s Successful Men’ and for them to share in the fond memories of their education at BBEC with fellow students and staff. We wish all of the students the best of luck in their GCSE exam results this summer and invite them all to stay in touch and be part of our Alumni society.”
