Observational Drawing trip

Every year on a beach in Lincolnshire seals appear to give birth and pair up. This natural phenomenon occurs from the end of October to the middle of December at Donna Nook.

As well as being an amazing spectacle it also provided our Students with a unique opportunity to create observational drawings from life.

The students had the opportunity to produce a range of pencil drawings, paintings and charcoal sketches. The seals make excellent subject matter to work with and gave the students a real feel of drawing in the field.

Once the Students got used to the public interest in their work and overcame their shyness they were able to produce a range of quality work that will be used to enhance their coursework and develop their skills.

A fantastic day was had by all staff and students alike.
