Upper Batley High School hosted their very own pop up café and invited staff, learners and guests to raise money for the Jo Cox Charity- More In Common and the Ummah Welfare Society. Our learners served coffee, tea, hot chocolate and an array of cakes and buns, as well as showcasing their cooking talents, even Betty’s Café in Harrogate would have been in envy at their produce.
The Learners were thrilled that colleagues from both charities were able to attend, our boys were incredibly excited to meet Jo Cox’s family. Jo’s mother, father and sister attended the coffee morning and chatted to our learners. We were delighted that they made the time to come along for a cake and a chat!
